Relics and Holy Shrines

Relics and Holy Shrines

So this is the heart of St. Charles, from the Basilica San Carlo in Rome. I’m not entirely certain what is actually inside of the beautiful hanging container in the shrine, but even so, I find these altars beautiful to look at and certainly a worthy spot to sit and think for a while- about the big questions and the little.

  1. hi, dear stephie!
read and looked at and thought how neat it would be to see all the entries.
the subway entry confirms, if not all, at least a lot about how italians get from a to b.
almost like being there without the passport.
hope you’re have a greater than great time.
how’s jogging in roma? gym? vespa ride? luigi or franco or dante or…?
    (h-d, xl)
    love and best,
